Carol Vorderman has said signing up for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is part of her mission to have adventures now she’s in her fifties.
The former Countdown host, 55, said she has always enjoyed watching the jungle show.

“I am doing a lot more adventurous stuff and it’s the sense of adventure that I love about this show.
“It’s a very free time in my life.”

Carol, who also has plans to fly around the globe solo, said one of the things she is most looking forward to is the famous helicopter jump.
“I’ve never done that before,” she said.
“I am so excited about it and I am looking forward to getting away from it all.
“Yes I am a bit nervous about it, but I would be daft if I wasn’t. I am generally just really happy that I am going to be doing the programme.”
Although Carol has camped before, she thinks sleeping out in the wild will be a fantastic experience.
“I will be 56 in December and there is life in the old bird yet,” she laughed.
I'm a Celebrity premieres on ITV on Sunday, November 13
