Law & Order: UK star Freema Agyeman has revealed that, following her character's rape ordeal in the last series, prosecutor Alesha Phillips just wants to get on with the job. At the end of the series one, Alesha accused respected gynaecologist Dr. Alec Merrick of sexually assaulting her during a routine examination. As the new series kicks off on ITV1 Monday night, Alesha is still reeling from the assault but, as Freema told whatsontv.co.uk, it's soon business as usual for the prosecutor. She said: "We do touch upon [Alesha's] ordeal at the beginning of this series; she's a bit more functional, a bit more guarded. "But as the episode goes on we just see her wanting to get on with work really and we get back into the format that is Law & Order, which is about the crimes." Law & Order UK returns to ITV on January 11. Season 1 of Law & Order UK is available on DVD on the same day with Season 2 following on Monday February 22.
