The Perfect Match | Glossy rom-com sees a womanising LA playboy meet his match
It's what everyone's looking for.
Glib LA playboy Charlie (Terrence Jenkins) doesn’t do relationships. A big-time talent agent with a yen for photography, he is content to bounce from one one-night stand to the next. Then his coupled-up friends dare him to stay with one woman for a month, convinced the experience will change his mind about love. Will his causal hook-up with the enigmatic Eva (Cassie Ventura) turn into something more substantial?
Glossy romantic comedy The Perfect Match throws in a couple of subplots involving Charlie’s pals – Victor (Robert Christopher Riley) is fretting over the cost of his approaching wedding to fiancée Ginger (Lauren London), while Rick (Donald Faison) and Pressie (Dascha Polanco) are trying to get pregnant - but nothing particularly memorable happens and the whole movie remains as blandly shallow as its hero.
Certificate 15. Runtime 92 mins. Director Bille Woodruff
The Perfect Match available on Blu-ray, DVD & Digital from Lionsgate.

A film critic for over 25 years, Jason admits the job can occasionally be glamorous – sitting on a film festival jury in Portugal; hanging out with Baz Luhrmann at the Chateau Marmont; chatting with Sigourney Weaver about The Archers – but he mostly spends his time in darkened rooms watching films. He’s also written theatre and opera reviews, two guide books on Rome, and competed in a race for Yachting World, whose great wheeze it was to send a seasick film critic to write about his time on the ocean waves. But Jason is happiest on dry land with a classic screwball comedy or Hitchcock thriller.
