Benidorm is back for a new series in 2015

ITV has just announced that its hit comedy Benidorm will return for another series in 2015.

All seven episodes will again be written by the show’s creator Derren Litten and filming gets underway in the Spanish resort soon.

The new series will see the arrival of a brand new family holidaying the Solana, after the much-loved Garvey family left Benidorm earlier this year, after inheriting millions in Las Vegas…

Sherrie Hewson, who plays Solana manageress Joyce Temple-Savage, told us recently: ‘Benidorm is so successful because it’s just tremendously funny, and so cleverly written by the amazing Derren Litten. It has plenty of laughs in every scene and viewers can relate to so many of the brilliant characters! All the cast love working on the show.’

TV Content Director on TV Times, What's On TV and TV & Satellite Week

I'm a huge fan of TV so I've found the perfect job, writing about telly shows and interviewing major television, film and sports stars for over 30 years. I'm currently the TV Content Director on What's On TV, TV Times, TV and Satellite Week magazines plus contribute to Whattowatch.com. I previously worked on Woman and Woman's Own in the 1990s. Outside of work I swim every morning, support Charlton Athletic football club and get nostalgic about TV shows Cagney & Lacey, I Claudius, Dallas, Tenko and I'm quite partial to a bit of Little House on The Prairie. I'm totally on top of everything good coming up too, and love newer shows such as The Day Of The Jackal, This is Us, Hacks and anything Dexter.
