Boyband manager invades stage during last X Factor audition show

Simon Cowell could not hide his surprise as The X Factor stage was invaded by one of the managers of boyband hopefuls D Tour.

The group, who describe themselves as a mixture of One Direction and Boyz II Men, were put together by duo Debbie and Paul.

Ranging in age from 21 to 29 years, D Tour are Christian Jules, Nico-Paul Rooney, Solomon Henry, Michael Perez, Naasson Swan and Elias Hendricks.

The six-piece aimed to impress judging panel Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora with their rendition of Chris Brown’s She Ain’t You.

Debbie was keen to sway the vote in their favour so she walked onto the stage, took the microphone from one of her boys and made a slightly off-key plea in song-form for Simon to put them through to Boot Camp.

Viewers will see if her somewhat bizarre plan worked tonight.

The stakes were high in this last audition show so contestants pulled out all the stops to get noticed.

The X Factor judges have ice cream

Andy Taylor, a 34-year-old ice cream man from Wakefield, attempted to sweeten the judges by giving them ice cream as he auditioned to Walk The Moon’s Shut Up And Dance.

Lucy Duffield, a 26-year-old sales assistant and part-time singer from Essex, reminded judge Nick that she had sung on his show and fellow Essex girl Megan Dallas, a 24-year-old accountant a from Basildon, played guitar as she performed TLC classic Waterfalls.

Other acts hoping to make the grade include married couple Chris Kennedy and Gabriel Cabrera from Milton Keynes, with their version of Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do, and Ghanaian duo Menn On Point who treat the audience to original composition Turn It Up.
