TV twosome The Cheeky Girls are said to be "devastated" after their new reality TV show became one of the biggest flops ever. The Sun reports that just 99,000 viewers - a mere 0.5 per cent of the viewing audience - tuned in to watch Monica and Gabriela Irimia in Living With...The Cheeky Girls. And the paper adds that even a repeat of Dalziel and Pascoe on the UK Drama Channel attracted twice as many viewers. The Romanian twins had hoped the show, on Living TV, would help to give their careers a boost. Monica described the programme as "like living in the fast lane," and added that it "would show the Cheeky Girls in every situation". The first edition, however, showed little more than the girls doing photo shoots and performing - although Gabriela's fiance, Lib Dem MP Lembit Opik, was seen proposing to her during a holiday in Rome. The Cheeky Girls originally sprang to fame after their memorable Pop Idol audition, when they performed a song written for them by their mother. Although they didn't make it through, they landed a record deal and scored a huge hit in December 2002 with a revamped version of their audition number, retitled The Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum). They scored several further hits and were last seen in the charts in 2004.
