Coronation Street's Brooke Vincent shares epic throwback, as she celebrates 15 years playing Sophie Webster

Brooke Vincent: I loved it when Corrie made my character a lesbian

How time flies!

It feels like it was only yesterday when Brooke Vincent was cast as Sally and Kevin Webster's daughter Sophie on Coronation Street.

So the actress certainly shocked fans, as she posted a picture from her very first day on the cobbles 15 years ago.

Taking to Instagram, Brooke, now 26, shared an epic throwback picture of her 11-year-old self, as she joined the ITV show.

Dressed in a school uniform and sporting a much shorter haircut complete with a fringe, she told her 760k followers, "F I F T E E N Year's ago today was my first day at playing ”Sophie Webster”

"They cut off all my hair and gave me a fringe. Who would have thought all these years later I would still be there, making a nuisance of myself. How time flies!!"

Her cast mates and fans alike were quick to comment on the photo, with many of her colleagues reflecting on their time working together.

Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz Stape, wrote, "I remember meeting you in that makeup chair like it was YESTERDAY! WOW! Love you Brooke."

Actress Lisa George, who is best known for playing Beth Sutherland on the soap, added, "And you've grown up to be a beautiful grounded, caring, loving, gorgeous young woman who we love xxx."

Meanwhile former Corrie star Ryan Thomas, who portrayed mechanic Jason Grimshaw on the soap  from 2000 to 2016, praised the actress for her dedication on the show, writing, "Just one more year and you beat me!'

The actress also shared a series of photos from over the years, including several with her onscreen dad father Michael Le Vell -  who has played Kevin Webster for over 35 years - as well as on-screen mum Sally Webster, played by Sally Dynevor.

And perhaps the best from the collection was a before and after snap of her and her TV sister Rosie Webster, played by actress Helen Flanagan.

Over her 15 years on the soap, Brooke's character has been caught up in some seriously dramatic storylines.

She got run over after trying to stop Ryan Connor playing a dangerous game of chicken, she left her fiancé Sian Powers waiting at the alter, and in 2015, she was left in pieces after the death of her beloved girlfriend Maddie Heath.

Here's to 15 more years, Brooke!
