There's an amusing scene in this house swap romcom in which Kate Winslet's Iris visits a video rental store in LA with film composer Miles (Jack Black http://youtube.com/v/eBjRznETGEQ The Graduate with a quick rendition of Simon & Garfunkel's Mrs Robinson, the pair receive a wry glance from Dustin Hoffman, who happens to be perusing the discs further down the aisle.
Apparently, according to Hoffman, this cameo wasn't planned. He'd happened to be driving by the store in question, had seen the cameras rigged up, and curiosity had got the better of him. Discovering that it was his friend director Nancy Meyers making the movie, he stuck around, and a last-minute scene was slotted in to make the most of his impromptu visit.
