An obsessed stalker who threatened to kill David Walliams during a four-year campaign of harassment has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act. Sarah Bartholomew admitted sending a deluge of gifts, letters and emails to the award-winning Little Britain star. In one letter, she told David: "I have to have you at any cost. I will kill or abduct you, to stop you seeing anyone else." Sarah was also issued with a restraining order banning her from making contact with the star when she appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court, in north London. Her obsession began in 2004, shortly after she met the star at a showbusiness question-and-answer event. The former veterinary nurse sent hundreds of sexually-charged letters, many in rhyming verse, all signed with her name and address. But it was only after Walliams' solicitor sent her a letter asking her to stop that her approaches became aggressive. Saying it was a 'sad but not bad case', District Judge Adrian Turner told Sarah she would remain at a psychiatric hospital until doctors decided she posed no threat to herself or anyone else. "I am quite sure that a medical order is the appropriate action," he said.
