EastEnders' Ian to marry Mandy?
EastEnders' Ian Beale could be set to tie the knot for a fifth time. The Albert Square businessman - played by Adam Woodyatt - is reportedly going to ask Mandy Salter to marry him, the Sunday Mirror reports. Ian and former Walford resident Mandy, played by Nicola Stapleton, met in a strip club and Ian invited her to come and live with him when he realised who she was. Nicola, who returned to EastEnders this summer after 17 years, promised her character would make a big impact on Ian's life. The father-of-four's first wife Cindy, played by Michelle Collins, was so miserable in her marriage she hired a hit man to kill Ian. His second wife Mel (Tamzin Outhwaite) was having an affair during their engagement and left Ian during their wedding reception when she discovered he had been lying to her to get her to stay with him. Ian met his third wife Laura (Hannah Waterman) when he hired her as his nanny, but they separated when she learned he had been sleeping with prostitute Janine Butcher, and she later died after falling down the stairs and breaking her neck. His last marriage to Jane (Laurie Brett) ended in a bitter divorce.
