The popular girl group are getting another shot, following the departure of duo Brooks Way...

Following the news that Brooks Way have officially withdrawn from The X Factor, ITV has confirmed that girl group Four Of Diamonds will re-join the competition.

Four Of Diamonds - aka Caroline (19), Lauren (21), Yasmin (17) and Sophia (19) - made it through to Louis Walsh's Judge's House in Ibiza this year, where they impressed him with their version of the Lorde hit 'Royals'.

But it wasn't enough for Louis to take them through to the live shows - a decision that shocked a number of viewers.

Speaking about his decision to bring them back, Louis - who is mentoring the groups' category - said: "I was really impressed with the girls at Judges' Houses but only had three spots to fill for the Live Shows. At the time, a lot of viewers were disappointed that I didn't put the girls through, now that a place has opened up in my category, I've listened to the fans and am delighted to be bringing the girls back. They're a great girl group and I'm hoping will take me all the way to the final."

Speaking about their return to the show, Four Of Diamonds said:  "We are so excited to be back on The X Factor . We're really looking forward to performing live, working hard and showing everyone what we’re made of."

The girls had only been performing together as a group for a few weeks before they initially auditioned for the judges. They describe their sound as a 'modern twist on the classic Sixties style'.

Fellow judge Nicole Scherzinger also named them as her favourite girl group in the competition at their first audition.

Following the departure of Brooks Way and the elimination of Bratavio on Sunday, Four Of Diamonds join Louis' one remaining group, trio 5 After Midnight.

The X Factor live shows continue on Saturday night, where the theme is Motown.
