Fresh Meat's Jack Whitehall, Joe Thomas and Kimberley Nixon reveal their sad but debauched graduation (VIDEO)

Hit Channel 4 comedy Fresh Meat returns to our screens for its final series on Monday and after three years at Manchester Medlock University, housemates JP, Kingsley, Vod, Oregon, Josie and Howard will (hopefully) be graduating.

With that in mind, we weren’t surprised to find that when we caught up with star Jack Whitehall, Joe Thomas and Kimberley Nixon – who play JP, Kingsley and Josie respectively – they were feeling a bit emotional.

After talking about their final day of filming Jack Whitehall went on to explain the pride he felt when his character graduated.

“JP graduates from university, which I never I managed to do myself, so that was nice,” he explained. “I managed to get a picture of myself with the scroll and the cap and all of that, so [Dad] now has me graduating from a fictional university, next to my sister who actually got a degree.”

He also revealed some details of the wrap party, where in keeping with the show’s spirit, the cast and crew had a few beers.

“Jack got the drunkest and was the most embarrassing,” said Kimberley. "It was loads of people who’s been there from the start and really knew what the show was about. It was about thanking them and saying goodbye to them.”
