Gillian Taylforth has hinted that she would love to appear in a soap again. The 55-year-old actress - best known for playing Kathy Mitchell in EastEnders for 15 years until she left in 2000 - said she would like to act opposite David Essex, who plays Eddie Moon, in the BBC One soap. "Why am I not in EastEnders now David Essex is coming in? He is really gorgeous. I'd love to run my fingers through his hair," she joked to OK! magazine. "Kathy is long gone," she added, referring to the fact her character died in an off-screen accident. Gillian described ex-EastEnder Michelle Collins as inspirational for heading over to Coronation Street. "It's great that Michelle Collins is in Corrie. Let's hope she's broken the taboo that you can't go from one soap to another," she said. "I love Emmerdale, so maybe you'll see me in the Dales yet."
