Sex And The City star Kim Cattrall has signed up for the next Comic Relief Bake Off, but was less forthcoming about plans for a third film inspired by her hit US show, telling fans she will be 'the last to know' about it.
The actress told chatshow host Graham Norton she agreed to do the charity cooking show after Emma Freud, who runs the appeal with partner Richard Curtis, approached her online.
She said: “It was quite a strange thing. It was the first time I’d been offered something like that on Twitter. I tweet all the time and Emma Freud tweeted me and asked me to do the Bake Off. She threw down the gauntlet and I said, ‘yes’. I’ll just take a lot of wine and have fun.”

Asked by Graham about a possible third Sex And The City film, she said: “For the other two films we were literally the last to know. The films made money so that’s always a good sign.”
Questioned about whether she minds being so strongly identified with her character Samantha Jones, she said: “I just loved playing her, she was so courageous and the thing I love about her the most was that she was not judgmental and she’d always come up with a positive way of looking at life.
“With all four characters we were breaking new ground for women in a very original way.”
