Kimberly Wyatt exits The Jump after skiing tumble

Kimberly Wyatt became the latest celebrity skiier to exit The Jump on Friday night after taking an unfortunate tumble during the 'jump-off'.

The show saw four of the remaining participants facing the jump in their bid to stay in the competition following three heats of speed skating.

Kimberly, Ritchie Neville and Anthea Turner all went forward to the climactic challenge after finishing last in one of the heats, where they were joined by Sir Steve Redgrave - who automatically faced the jump after pulling out of the heat due to injury.

The former Olympic gold medallist admitted on the show that he had fractured a bone in his hand and had bruised his ribs following a fall which was seen on Thursday night's show - but nonetheless would remain in the competition.

But although he only managed to jump 9m, compared to Ritchie's 11m and Anthea's 13m jumps, he retained his place in the competition after Kimberly fell over on landing - and was promptly disqualified.

The former Pussycat Doll later learned that she had covered a distance of 14.5m, and would have remained in the show if she had managed to stay upright.

Afterwards she told Davina McCall she had been 'so frustrated' by the outcome, adding: "I really went for it."

The Jump is taking a break from screens on Saturday night but will return on Sunday night at 9pm on Channel 4.

Sunday's show will see the remaining contestants take on the speed ski and slalom events in a bid to win a place in Monday night's final.
