'It's going to be an evening not to be missed'

Michael Ball and Alfie Boe fans are in for a Christmas treat because the pair are teaming up for a festive musical special.

The hugely popular singers will take to the stage to sing “exciting new material” plus they will be performing some festive favourites.

ITV promises that to add “some extra sparkle” an array of talented celebrity guests will be also turning up to join in the fun.

Michael Ball said: “It feels like Christmas has come early! Back together for our third TV special, this time celebrating the season of good will with some amazing guests and the best music. All with a sprinkling of tinsel and fairy dust. It’s the recipe for a perfect pre-Christmas snuggle...and that’s just me and Alfie!”

Alfie added: "We're back together...again! We're lucky enough to be hosting another Ball & Boe ITV special, this time with a Christmas twist. It's going to be an evening not to be missed, so get your slippers on, warm up the mince pies and mulled wine and join us. And wait until you see our special guests!"

Speaking before about why they work so well together, Michael said: “We never row. You’ve got to be sensitive and know when to give somebody space – or a tickle!”

Alfie added: “We’re never competitive either, although Michael tries to put me off! We just want to do well for each other and not let anyone down. It’s about teamwork.

“We’re not a comedy duo like Ant and Dec or Morecambe and Wise, it’s more like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin where they just came together and had a laugh.”

Ball & Boe: A Very Merry Christmas will be screened in December. ITV is yet to reveal exactly when the show will be screened.
