Pete Waterman in pop feud!

Did you see ITV's Piers Morgan's Life Stories with Pete Waterman this week?

While celebrity friends including Simon Cowell and Sinitta had lovely things to say about record producer Pete, the interview has reignited some bad blood between Pete and his former song-writing partner, Mike Stock.

Together with Matt Aitken, the trio Stock Aitken Waterman (aka The Hit Factory) produced countless chart hits for the likes of Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Rick Astley and Bananarama during the 80s and 90s. But since their partnership ended, Mike and Matt have reportedly felt pushed out of the picture, with Pete often taking credit for their success.

After watching Pete's interview with Piers, Mike wrote on Facebook

"Pete never mentioned me or Matt. Piers did of course in the narration of the events, and there were pictures and a video extract which included us. For some reason Pete could not utter our names."

Mike has now promised he will be setting the record straight with a new book about the Stock Aitken Waterman years!

"I offered the hand of friendship to Pete a few years ago. I wanted to put the past behind us. This, it turns out, was a waste of time. He continues to earn large amounts of money in royalties from the songs and records that Matt and I made. If he wants to pretend we don't exist would he mind giving us the money back?"

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters.

Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave?

Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
