Strictly fever is already kicking in as presenters Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly return to work for the new series. But which celebs are taking part?

With the nation still in the middle of a summer heatwave, we don't really want to start thinking about the autumn. But we sort of can't resist, since Strictly fever is already kicking in!

Yes, Strictly Come Dancing presenter Claudia Winkleman has shared an Instagram photo of herself back on set as preparations get underway for the next series of the hit BBC One celebrity dance competition.

"First day on Strictly," writes Claudia. "Tess and I are about to be told who's taking part. I'll let you know..."

Strictly doesn't return until the autumn but there are all kinds of rumours as to who will be taking part. Ex-Corrie stars Michelle Keegan and Catherine Tyldsley are both on the list along with Joey Essex, Scarlett Moffatt, Faye Tozer from Steps and Coleen Rooney. Will any of them appear? Hopefully we won't have to wait too long to find out!

Writer

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
