Strictly Come Dancing: Time's up for Penny!

Penny Lancaster Stewart has become the latest person to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing, after landing in the bottom two once again. The model - who received a mixed response from the judges for her salsa with dance partner Ian Waite on Saturday night's show - was up against EastEnders star Matt D'Angelo and dance partner Flavia Cacace, who found themselves in the bottom two for the first time. It was the second time that Penny had had to dance again to try and stay in the competition - previously she had been saved by the judges, who voted to send Gabby Logan home instead. However after she reprised her salsa from Saturday, and Matt and Flavia had once again danced the Viennese waltz, she lost the judges' vote by three to one. The judges agreed that it was a difficult decision. "It's absolutely criminal these two couples are in the bottom two," said Craig Revel Horwood, before voting to keep Matt and Flavia. Arlene Phillips - the only judge who voted in Penny and Ian's favour - said she was "staggered" by the improvement in both performances. Afterwards, Penny wept as she spoke to Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly. "It's been the best time in my life and it was obvious I was going to cry," she said tearfully. "I wouldn't have changed a thing. It has been the biggest honour in the world." Ian Waite, meanwhile, said he "couldn't have asked for a better partner", and said Penny had been "fantastic".
