The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo invades the London Film Museum

To coincide with the Blu-ray and DVD launch of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, the new London Film Museum in Covent Garden recently played host to a pop-up exhibition of memorabilia from the film.

Featured were never-before-seen props including a selection of framed pressed flowers, Harriet’s bible and articles about her disappearance, plus the harness in which Daniel Craig’s character is hung during the film’s climax and the infamous object Lisbeth uses on Nils Bjurman. Also on display was artwork from both the film and the forthcoming graphic novel.

Invitees to the event, who included actor Steven Berkoff (who plays the lawyer Dirch Frode in the film), also got the chance to explore the museum’s current exhibition, Magnum on Set, featuring rare stills from iconic films like Rebel Without a Cause and The Misfits, all taken by leading photographers of the day, including Eve Arnold and Dennis Stock. While the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo event was a one-off, film fans can still catch the Magnum on Set exhibit at the Film Museum until September.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is out now on Blu-ray and DVD.
