After nearly two-and-a-half hours of some singing and some beautiful location shots, we now know the acts going through to the live finals from the Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s Groups and Simon Cowell’s Overs…

Cheryl was the first to end the waiting game for her acts live on television last night…

So it was over to Rome, where Cheryl was ready to watch her Six Chair Challenge winners sing for a shot at the title, with singer-songwriter Jess Glynne as her assistant judge.

After 4th Impact, Alien, Melody Stone (used to be Silvertone), BEKLN Mile (used to be BEKLN), Reggie n Bollie  (as they’ve always been) and New Kings Order (used to be First Kings) had performed, it was back to the London studios for the live announcement of the three finalists: Reggie n Bollie, Alien Uncovered and 4th Impact.

4th Impact made a big enough impact in the Groups to make it through to the live finals

An hour-and-a-half into the show and viwers are taken to the South of France, where Simon is sitting with One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson to decide his final three in the Overs.

See, all that talk about Louis being part of the Judges’ Houses was this Louis, not Louis Walsh.

Jennifer Phillips, Ebru and Kerrie-Anne are out.

Bupsi (no surprise) Max Stone (big surprise) and Anton (naturally) are Simon’s three finalists.

Bupsi continued to charm Simon in the Overs

Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora will announce their finalists in the slightly shorter (90 minutes) X Factor on ITV, Sunday, October 25, 7.30pm.
