What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight the best shows on Saturday 10^th March

Call the Midwife, 8.00pm, BBC1

We’ve just about stopped sobbing after Barbara’s shocking death last week but now we have to ready ourselves for her funeral. Poor Phyllis is struggling with both her grief and a bad back, while a shell-shocked Tom is also finding it tough to cope. But the Nonnatus House women soon have to get back to the business of life, and while Sister Monica Joan worries that her birthday won’t be celebrated, Shelagh takes charge of a new load of patients from a nearby maternity home that has closed down. Elsewhere, confused elderly man Donald (David Calder) gives cause for concern. Some beautiful scenes make a fitting ending to an eventful series. Rating: *****

Sir Bruce: A Celebration, 9.00pm, BBC1

Friends and family of the late, great Bruce Forsyth came together at the London Palladium on what would have been his 90th birthday in February. Hosted by Tess Daly, the show shares classic TV moments and Bruce’s favourite songs performed by big names, including Dame Shirley Bassey, Alexandra Burke, Alfie Boe and Michael Ball. The Strictly pro dancers put on two scintillating routines – one celebrating Bruce’s biggest shows and another paying homage to his dance hero Fred Astaire. There are jokes galore from Paul Merton and Jon Culshaw, but the most heartfelt moment is when Bruce’s widow Lady Forsyth tells us why we all loved him so much. Rating: *****

Endeavour, 8.00pm, ITV

It’s a brilliant but bittersweet finale as Bright announces that Cowley station is closing. Endeavour has other preoccupations, though, when he goes undercover at a school to investigate the disappearance of a classics master. As they uncover dark goings-on among staff and pupils, Thursday is looking ahead to his retirement and the chance for "one last collar" as he tries to tie up the gang warfare case… Rating: *****
