Russell Tovey has revealed that "everything is festering" on the set of Him And Her. The actor stars alongside Sarah Solemani in BBC Three's "bedsitcom", based entirely within the confines of their characters' grimy flat. "The sofa everyone sits on smells of urine and sick, depending on where you sit," Russell, who plays Steve, admitted. "It's a hot set so we're all sweating into the sheets and it stinks by the end of the week. Everything's just festering." But the History Boys star isn't keen for his layabout alter ego to sort his life out just yet. "I think at some point they've got to get their act together but they're content at the moment and there's no sort of rush," he added. In the third series, Steve and Becky (Sarah) are entering the next phase of their life together, which begins with Steve trying to find the perfect time to propose. "It's about the battles with all their friends and family and Steve trying to prove he's man enough for her when no-one else thinks he is," Russell explained. :: Him And Her returns to BBC Three on Sunday November 18.
