Twin triumphs for The Voice as auditions continue

The girls dominated the fourth round of The Voice UK's blind auditions - but it was two pairs of twins who really made their mark on the show.

Both Tila and Tavelah Robinson and Gemyni - aka twins Lauren and Kimberley Goddard - made it through to the battle rounds after impressing both Ricky Wilson and Kylie Minogue enough to join their teams.

First to take to the stage were Tila and Tavelah - whose performance of Just Can't Get Enough was enough to entice Ricky Wilson to turn round, despite the other judges staying put.

"You will go a long way," he told them, "You are going to look great as well."

Will.i.am also praised the pair, despite not turning for them. "I really like how you flipped that track around, it was dope," he said.

Meanwhile Lauren and Kimberley - who duetted on Mariah Carey's Fantasy - found themselves the subject of a bidding war between Kylie, Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson - eventually opting for a place on Team Kylie.

"I had to press my button, I was so excited and energised and I need some chicks on my team," she told the girls, while Ricky added: "I must have a thing for twins...you were too good not to turn around."

The pair were the first girls to join Kylie's team, although they were quickly followed by Northern Irish singer Jai O'Connell - who prompted all four judges to turn round - and Irish teenager Rachael O'Connor, who wowed the panel with her rendition of Emeli Sande's Clown.

"You were so moving and touching, the purity in your voice...it was a beautiful song choice," Kylie said, while will admitted he regretted being the only judge not to spin for the 16-year-old.

"You were wonderful," he admitted. "I'm a fool, I should have turned round."

The Voice UK continues on BBC One next Saturday night.
