BGT runners-up set for stardom

They might not have won Britain's Got Talent - but finalists Jack Carroll and the Luminites are reportedly still set for stardom following their appearances on the show.

Comedian Jack, who finished second to Attraction on Saturday night's show, is reportedly set to earn £1m before the year is out - with Simon Cowell's company Syco planning to offer him a book deal.

"Jack could be a huge star," said a source of the talent 14-year-old, who wowed the audience and the judges on Saturday night, eventually winning 20 per cent of the public vote.

Meanwhile Luminites, who finished fifth, are being tipped to become Britain's answer to the Black Eyed Peas after Simon set his sights on signing them.

"Simon really rates Luminites," the insider added. "Every time he's watched them perform he's been blown away.

"He thinks they're fresh and there's a real gap in the market for them."

The acts would not be the first Britain's Got Talent runners-up to make it big following their appearance on the show.

Susan Boyle, who appeared in the third series of the show, has gone on to become a global superstar despite finishing second to dance troupe Diversity.
