Singer Beau Dermott and solo dancer Balance Unity are the next two acts through to Saturday's final of Britain's Got Talent following Wednesday night’s semi-final.

After Amanda Holden's Golden Buzzer act Beau, 12, sailed through on the public vote, it was then up to Amanda and fellow judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams to choose between body-popping dance crew Tumar KR and solo dancer Balance Unity. And the judges voted unanimously to save Balance Unity.

Dancer Balance Unity impressed the judges with his moves

Beau has been a hot favourite to win this year's BGT following her first audition when she sang Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked.

Her rendition of Someone Like You from the musical Jekyll & Hyde in the semi-final received a standing ovation from all four judges.

Amanda said: “It’s just the most stunning song, your voice was even better than your audition, which I didn't think you'd be able to do. I could not be more thrilled for you."

Simon also raved about her performance, saying: "I guarantee you, in about five or 10 years' time, we’re all gonna look back to this period when we first saw you and say this is the moment we discovered a star. I can feel it."

The judges had also been enthusiastic about Balance Unity, with David saying: "I'm not sure you needed everyone else on the stage because you're such a star all on your own."

Tumar KR missed out tonight - but could they be the viewers' wildcard choice?

Beau and Balance Unity join 100 Voices of Gospel, singing duo Mel and Jamie, crooner Wayne Woodward, sword-swallower Alex Magala, magician Richard Jones and stormtrooper dance act Boogie Storm, who are already through to the final from this week's other heats.

The last semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent is on Thursday May 26 at 7.30pm on ITV, when the nine acts performing will be: Ana and Fia, Chloe Fenton, Craig Ball, The Deep Space Deviants, Elite Squad Royalz, Presentation School Choir, Togni Brothers, Trip Hazard and Ant & Dec’s Golden Buzzer act Jasmine Elcock.
