Collabro's Tom Redgrave (centre) has revealed he hasn't quit his job yet.
The 24-year-old waiter, who won Britain's Got Talent with the operatic boyband, admitted he has yet to hand in his notice and is waiting to speak to his employers.
"I'm technically still at my old job. They've asked me for my hours and days in June before the final and I said, 'Um, I don't think I can give you any', so I really need to talk to them," he said.
The operatic boyband - Tom, Michael Auger, Jamie Lambert, Richard Hadfield and Matt Pagan - beat opera singer Lucy Kay and teenage rap duo Bars And Melody to triumph in the eighth series of the ITV talent show. They won £250,000 and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance show.
Michael, a sales assistant, added: "I actually went back to work between the semi-final and the final. There were posters up and everyone was so supportive. Hopefully I won't have to go back to work, I can just go back and say thank you to everyone who voted and do this as a career for now."
His bandmate Matt said: "I was a kitchen salesman in Carlisle, but I left my job after the semi-finals and moved to London."
The group, who formed only a month before their first audition for the show, impressed the judges and public with their harmonic renditions of Les Miserables songs, Stars and Bring Him Home.
They defended their decision to sing Stars again for the final, with Jamie saying: "That was the piece that really hit home with the public. It had over six million YouTube hits. Obviously it was the right decision to pick it because it's an amazing song. It's not so well known as well and we really wanted to show everyone that we can take that song and make it even better, and up our game."
Richard continued: "We feel like we've brought a new meaning to the song - with five voices on it, it makes it really uplifting and strong."
Tom added: "We get to show emotion through song, and Les Miserables covers such a wide range of emotions throughout. It's the epitome of musical theatre for us.
