Comic Relief presenter Davina McCall reveals there are surprises in store when telly’s biggest celebrities come together to deliver an epic night of comedy for charity on Friday, from 7pm on BBC1 and BBC2.

Even though Davina’s been co-hosting the charity extravaganza since 1999, she’s still thrilled to be part of the event, saying: “I’m super excited to see what Red Nose Day has got up its sleeve!

“It’s hard to say what the best part about presenting on the Red Nose Day night of TV is. All of it’s amazing – the comedy, the music performances, all of your favourite people in one place at one time. It’s an extremely exciting event to be part of. There’s always going to be something unmissable to watch on the night, so I’m looking forward to all of it!”

The Long Lost Family presenter adds: “At the same time you’re always thinking, although it’s an incredible evening to be part of, we’re actually helping people too. That’s what I love about Comic Relief. I’ve visited some amazing projects over the years to see exactly where the public’s money is going. It’s a lovely feeling to know you’re helping people while having the best time ever.”

Rowan Atkinson, Dermot O’Leary, Lenny Henry and Dawn French are among the many stars from the worlds of comedy and entertainment, putting the fun into fundraiser for this year’s Comic Relief: Face the Funny. For the first time ever the event is hosted live from the London Palladium.
