Alison King is virtual reality guide on new Corrie tour
Former star Alison King will act as a virtual reality guide on a new Coronation Street tour visiting many centres around Britain from August
Coronation Street fans will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Weatherfield later this year as a new UK tour has been announced.
The ITV soap’s iconic set, cobbles, props and memorabilia will initially take up residency in Glasgow from August 27 until January 1 before a proposed move to Belfast.
Alison King, 43, who previously played Carla Connor on the soap, will act as a 'virtual reality' tour guide.
The actress will welcome visitors into the purpose-built inflatable snowdome inside which the attraction will be housed, before they move on to get a behind-the-scenes look at the long-running programme.
The event will serve as a visit down memory lane for Coronation Street fans, while also allowing them to view well-known TV establishments such as Roy’s Rolls and The Kabin.
