Coronation Street star Jane Danson has predicted a messy divorce for Leanne and Nick Tilsley.
The estranged couple have been struggling to work through their differences after Nick suffered an extreme personality change brought on by a serious head injury.
Nick has been pretending his illness is worse than it is to try and win sympathy from Leanne, who is romantically involved with personal trainer Kal Nazir. When Leanne finds out what Nick has been up to, she loses the plot and starts smashing up Nick's restaurant.
The actress told the official Coronation Street website she always thought childhood sweethearts Leanne and Nick could remain friends, but now she's not so sure.
Jane said: "I've always said as long as there's a history between any characters there's always a reason for them to be together in some way, it doesn't necessarily have to be a relationship.
"But they're going to have to go through a divorce at some point, and it's not going to be pretty."
