Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas has been declared bankrupt, according to the Daily Mirror.
The paper reports that the actor - who plays builder Jason Grimshaw in the soap - found himself in the situation after a dispute over unpaid taxes.
It also claims that the bankruptcy was confirmed in the High Court Of Justice on October 4, following a petition from HM Revenue and Customs.
Ryan has been a part of the Coronation Street cast for 13 years, and in that time has been involved in a string of dramatic storylines and onscreen romances.
His character famously married Sarah Louise Platt - played by his real-life ex-girlfriend Tina O'Brien - in 2007, but viewers saw the marriage end within months, followed by the actress's departure from the soap.
Jason is currently dating Eva Price, played by Catherine Tyldesley.
Away from the screen he had a six-year relationship with Tina, whom he began dating in 2003 following her split from co-star Bruno Langley, who plays Jason Grimshaw's brother Todd.

The pair, who split up in 2009, have a four-year-old daughter, Scarlett.
