Daniel’s mum to reappear? Corrie’s Rob Mallard hints at the possibility
Corrie fans haven't seen Denise and Daniel Osbourne together since 2007… Now the mysterious disappearance of Denise could soon be resolved!
Ever since actress Denise Black’s character Joanie Dingle was killed off in Emmerdale, fans have been speculating that she will soon reprise her role as Denise Osbourne in Coronation Street.
And now Rob Mallard, who plays Denise’s son Daniel in Corrie, has given a strong hint that it could soon happen.
Denise, who is Ken Barlow’s ex and Daniel’s feckless mother, hasn’t been seen on the Street since 2007 (when Daniel was only 12 and played by Dominic Holmes, pictured above), but with Daniel’s life unravelling, she soon could be.
“I would love it if she were to come back to Corrie!” Rob is reported as saying in The Sun.
“I’ve been a fan of Denise for a few years and the possibility I’d get to work with her at some point down the line wasn’t something I was going to turn my back on!”
Daniel recently revealed in Corrie how his abandoned him when he was 15 and he’d had to bring himself up, telling elaborate lies to keep himself from being taken into care.
