Toyah and Peter set to split over lies, thinks Georgia Taylor

Coronation Street star Georgia Taylor has said that her character, Toyah, and Peter could split.

The 37-year-old actress believes that the pair’s failure to be truthful to each other could result in them splitting up in Corrie.

“At the moment, Peter hasn’t confided in her over what happened with Billy at Christmas, and she’s keeping from him that the surrogate has lost their baby.

“So, as much as I adore working with Chris [Gascoyne, who plays Peter], I do wonder, when this all comes out, if there’s a future for them.”

Georgia added that she’s unsure that their relationship is good enough to survive it all.

“I don’t know if they’re strong enough to weather this. It just feels like one catastrophe after another.”

Coronation Street continues on ITV at 7.30pm.
