‘I will hurt you,’ Carla tells Nick in Coronation Street. But not for a while maybe…

Finally, finally, finally! Carla Connor (Alison King) and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) stopped dancing around each other and fell into bed together.

They did it the right way… Nick and Erica (Claire King) finished with each other before he went where no man has been in a long time.

And Nick was so happy in the morning.

"I reckon we'll be good for one another," he told her.

Then Carla brought him back down to earth with a bump.

“I've never been for anyone. I will hurt you in the end, you know,” she told Nick.

But maybe later, rather than sooner.

Earlier this year, Alison said she was taking a year off from Coronation Street.

Now, in an interview with the Express, Alison has confirmed that she is signed with Coronation Street until May 2016.

“There’s a lot to do with Carla yet,” says Alison.

And will Peter be any part of it?

“If Peter came back it would put the cat among the pigeons,” Alison admitted. “She has a never-ending love for him.

“With Peter [Chris Gascoyne] she was the calm, grown-up one for most of the time. Peter was the child. Now, with Nick, she’s becoming the child. She quite likes the fact that someone wants to take care of her for once and is strong enough to look after her.”

And give her the baby she would love? There’s plenty of time for that now that Carla’s not going anywhere for a long while…

Coronation Street continues on ITV, Monday, August 24, 7.30pm.
