It seems the long-running feud between Coronation Street’s Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) could be about to come to an end – or at least reach a temporary ceasefire. In a surprise twist, Michelle will find herself turning to her long-time nemesis after discovering that her ex boyfriend, Will Chatterton, is her stalker.

The women’s friendship crashed and burned earlier this year when Michelle’s then husband, Steve McDonald, revealed he’d had a one-night stand with Leanne and was the father of her baby son, Oliver. The revelation led to the end of Steve and Michelle’s short marriage.

Kym revealed: “We see Michelle actually begging Leanne for help - the one person that she doesn’t want to ask for help; she’s having to asking for help! Because she’s terrified, and she realises that she’s alone and she’s vulnerable. Robert’s not there, Carla’s not there. She doesn’t have anyone, so she turns to Leanne."

But Kym added that she doesn’t think this is the start of a new friendship for the women.

“I don’t think they’ll ever be best friends again,’ she tells us. “But who knows? It depends whether Leanne decides to help her or not.”
