Will Carla stay in the Street for Nick?

Coronation Street's Carla Connor has been eaten up with guilt, believing she caused the fire that claimed the lives of Kal Nazir and Maddie Heath.

That guilt forced Carla (Alison King) to seek an escape in gambling, but her spiralling losses have forced her to put the Underworld factory up for sale.

The only good thing in Carla's life at the moment is Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), who this week declares his feelings for her… But can he stop Carla leaving for a fresh start in Los Angeles?

With Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) already interested in buying the business, Carla also gets an offer from Kal's daughter, Alya (Sair Khan), who's backed by her grandparents, Yasmeen (Shelley King) and Sharif (Dean Fagan).

In the Rovers, Carla announces she plans to leave for LA next week, and her friend, Erica Holroyd (Claire King), immediately notices boyfriend Nick's disappointment at the news.

Later, when he's alone with Carla, Nick begs her to reconsider her decision to move away and opens his heart to her.

Confessing that he wishes he were with Carla instead of Erica, sparks fly between them.

Nick's made his feelings clear, but is that enough to make Carla change her mind about leaving?

Later, Carla gets a huge surprise when her old friend Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) turns up and says he wants to invest in Underworld. But who told him the business is up for sale?

Aidan's arrival isn't good news for Alya and Sally, who can see their dreams evaporating.

Will Aidan's appearance make it easier for Carla to decide who to sell the factory to?

And will Carla be able to go through with her plan to exit the Street and leave Nick behind?

You'll get the answers when the scenes air on Coronation Street, ITV, from Monday, August 17.
