Dancing On Ice: Suzanne wins!

Former Hear'Say singer Suzanne Shaw has won the final of Dancing On Ice , ahead of fellow celebrity skater Chris Fountain. Suzanne snatched victory from the Hollyoaks star - who had been the hot favourite to take the trophy. Earlier in the evening, Corrie star Zaraah Abrahams finished third. Suzanne's first performance of the evening - to the opera hit Time To Say Goodbye - received five 6.0 scores from the judges - the first time any contestant has ever scored full marks on the show. The routine, which saw her flying through the air on wires, was described as "unbelievable" by judge Jason Gardiner. "You are the whole package," he told her, "You gave a champion performance." Other judges were reduced to tears by the performance. "It was so beautiful," Karen Barber told Suzanne. "You were like a fairy up there." Later in the show Suzanne received another perfect score, after reprising her routine to the Madonna hit Music from earlier in the series. "Clearly you have improved along the way," Jason told her. "That was your strongest performance." Chris Fountain - who had been the hot favourite prior to the show - found himself at the bottom of the judges leaderboard following the first round of skating. His routine - to Frank Sinatra's Fly Me To The Moon - divided the judges, and while he received praise from Nicky Slater, Ruthie Henshall wasn't so sure. "I thought your transitions looked clumsy," she said of Chris' high wire routine. "I love what you do, but that was not my favourite." The show also saw Torvill and Dean reprising their medal winning Bolero routine, while other celebrity contestants from the series also appeared.
