EastEnders stars to support Matt's Ice debut
Ex-EastEnders actor Matt Lapinskas has revealed his girlfriend and former co-star Shona McGarty will be supporting him as he makes his Dancing On Ice debut. The actor, who played Albert Square's Anthony Moon, is competing on the new series of the ITV1 ice-skating show and Shona (who plays Whitney Dean) will be among the EastEnders stars in the audience as he takes to the rink. "I'm bringing Shona to the first show. Tony (Discipline, who stars as Anthony's brother Tyler) and Jacqueline (Jossa, who plays Lauren Branning) will be there as well," he said. "Shona's probably more nervous than I am. She's really looking forward to it, she's really supportive. "She's going to have her heart in her throat when I'm skating around. She's a great support and I love her to pieces." Matt said the sequinned costumes he will be sporting on the ice-skating show don't bother him. "I think the more glitz and the more colourful the better. The first day I walked into wardrobe was amazing, all those bright colours," he said. "But I'll probably get a few texts from my mates!"
