Ray Quinn triumphs with Dancing On Ice full house

Dancing On Ice favourite Ray Quinn has skated his way to a full house from the judges - just four weeks into the current series.

The 2009 champion picked up his 40 out of 40 after delivering a near-faultless flamenco-inspired routine with partner Maria Filippov - on a night which saw the nine remaining celebrities tackle different styles of dance.

And despite admitting pre-contest nerves, the judges couldn't hide their enthusiasm for his performance.

"That was sublime, perfection, every nuance and thing that we needed to see was there," Jason Gardiner told him. "It was masculine, fun, sultry and sexy!"

Meanwhile Robin Cousins pointed out: "You are the celebrity, not the figure skater and yet you performed exactly the same as your partner."

Sunday's show also proved successful for both Beth Tweddle and Hayley Tamaddon - with Beth notching up the highest score of the series to date for her Scottish-themed routine, only for Hayley's charleston to outdo it just moments later - before both were beaten by Ray.

"That was what we needed. I loved it, the timing was so intricate. It had everything….you were just brilliant tonight!" Ashley Roberts told her.

Meanwhile Karen Barber added: "The standard tonight is amazing, you were fun, feisty and full of personality."

However it wasn't quite such good news for Bonnie Langford - whose waltz landed her bottom of the judges' scoreboard.
