The first official images of Lily James, James Norton and Paul Dano in BBC One’s new period drama, War And Peace, have been released.

The small-screen adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s novel, which has been written by Andrew Davies, stars Lily as Natasha Rostova.

The six-part series, which is directed by Tom Harper, was shot on location in Russia, Lithuania and Latvia.

War And Peace will screen this winter on BBC One.
