EastEnders: Peter Beale believes Ian or Jane dunnit

EastEnders’ killer guessing game continued last night with Peter Beale as the latest Walford resident to start throwing accusations about his twin’s murder – and their dad Ian Beale was in the firing line.

Wednesday’s episode, which saw live scenes interspersed with pre-recorded footage, featured the wedding of Ian (Adam Woodyatt) and Jane (Laurie Brett) wedding, but the day turned sour when Peter (Ben Hardy) confronted his dad and stepmum.

Peter’s on-off girlfriend Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) had told him that she believed his twin sister Lucy had actually been killed at home, leading him to the conclusion that one or both of his parents must have done it.

The live scene showed Peter burst into the living room where the newlyweds were already caught up in a tense moment.

He said: “Lauren’s told me. Lucy was killed in this house. It was one of you. Dad?”

The episode ended on a silent but anxious-looking Ian, so viewers will have to wait for Thursday’s 30th anniversary episode to find out if he was responsible for his daughter’s death.
