FIRST LOOK: Dot Branning's murder trial cast in EastEnders

EastEnders veteran Dot Branning is set to have her day in court for the murder of her son, ‘Nasty’ Nick Cotton.

Dot, played by June Brown, has been languishing in jail since she confessed to killing her son during the show’s 30th anniversary live week and some first-look pictures have been released of those involved in her trial.

The body of Nick (John Altman) was discovered in the same way that Reg Cox had been found in the first scene of the soap’s first ever episode, slumped in a chair in an empty house.

Dot later admitted that she had put him in the house, given him heroin, and let him die in her arms, and called the police herself to confess.
