She left Albert Square in 2006 but now Louisa Lytton, who played Ruby Allen, has revealed that she would like a repeat performance on the soap.
Louisa, who’s currently appearing in The Jump, said: “I’ve always said I would go back,” reports OK magazine. “I had the best time there and it was my first professional job.
“Given the right story lines, I”d love to go back. I’d never say never and, for me, it’s about doing what I love. If I can act every day then of course I’ll do that.”
Ruby was the daughter of gangster Johnny Allen (played by Billy Murray) and became a friend of Stacey Branning’s (Lacey Turner) and Stacey’s brother, Sean (Robert Kazinsky) wanted to marry Ruby.
But it all ended in tears and Ruby took the traditional route of out Walford, in the back of a cab.
With all the comebacks in the past year, though, we could well see Ruby back…
EastEnders continues on BBC1, Monday, February 1, 8.00pm.
