With Ashley having been diagnosed with pneumonia, Laurel is desperately hoping her husband will make a recovery. But the devoted wife is sent reeling when a doctor informs her that Ashley has just days to live. After being told to prepare for the worst, Laurel brings Ashley home to Mulberry Cottage to make his last few days as comfortable and as soothing as possible.

As Ashley's friends visit to say goodbye to their dear friend, his daughter Gabby resents not being able to spend time along with her father. All too soon, Ashley passes away with his devastated wife by his side...
