Emma Atkins has revealed that Charity goes to great lengths in next week's Emmerdale to prevent husband Declan finding out she's had an abortion - she even tries to get daughter Debbie to pretend she had the termination!
The actress is at the centre of a major storyline in which Charity has lied to Declan (Jason Merrells) about having had a miscarriage when in actual fact she'd secretly had an abortion.
When Declan's sister Megan Macey (Gaynor Faye) believes she's uncovered the truth, Charity fears her secret is about to be exposed, so asks Debbie if she'll cover for her.
Emma told whatsontv.co.uk: "Charity's doing everything in her power to keep Declan from knowing the truth. First, she's trying to set Chas up, asking Chas to say it was her abortion and then she's asking Debbie... there's no way back really."
