Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden: 'I want enough kids for a football team!'

Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden has joked that he would like a family big enough for a "five-a-side football team".

The soap actor and his co-star Charley Webb are expecting their second child, and Matthew, who plays David Metcalfe in Emmerdale, told OK! magazine: "Having a child changes the dynamic of your relationship, but in a nice way. You have to become a team, which is a lovely thing."

Charley said: "This pregnancy has definitely given us an even stronger bond."

Matthew, 35, told the magazine: "We've always said we want a big family – I want my five-a-side football team – but that may change after the second one!"

Charley, 27, who plays Debbie Dingle on the ITV soap, announced their baby news on Twitter in June by posting a snap of the couple with Buster, their five-year-old son.

Buster stood behind a sign in the black and white pic, with the words "only child expiring December 2015".

The pair started dating in 2008 and got back together after a short split.
