Joanna Page and James Thornton have been inundated with well wishers after they revealed they are expecting their first child. The Gavin & Stacey star and former Emmerdale actor James, who left his role as farmer John Barton in February, announced the news on their Twitter pages. "Happy news! James + I are delighted to announce we're expecting a baby! X" Joanna wrote, and James added the same message on his page. James's former Emmerdale co-star Charley Webb, who plays Debbie Dingle, wrote: "Amazinggggg. Congratulations to @JamesThornton_ and @jopage_ you guys will make amazing parents!! SO happyyyyy for you both!" Kelvin Fletcher (Andy Sugden) added: "GO ON JOHN LAD" Tom Ellis, Jo's co-star in Sky1 comedy Gates, wrote: "@jopage_ zipedeedoodah zipedeeday...congrats to you both...if you need any tips don't ask me I'm still trying to work it all out! Lovage txx" Philip Schofield added: "Congratulations to Jo Page and James Thornton expecting a baby!" Joanna, 34, previously said that she was feeling quite broody. "James and I would love a family. We've moved into a house in the country and we'd like to fill it with kids - and dogs. I'm like a mum 24/7 already because of my dog Daisy," she told The Sun.
