Emmerdale star Sammy Winward says she doesn't want her daughter to watch her character Katie Macey's accident. Sammy's alter-ego has fallen down a hidden mine shaft in a field and is set to endure days of pain and terror after becoming trapped. And the actress doesn't want her seven-year-old daughter Mia to watch the traumatic scenes. Sammy told ITV's Daybreak: "I don't know what I'm going to do about this. She'll probably badger me into watching it - she won't listen to me at all! But I think it's a bit much. I think that'll be too much for her - it gets a bit too much." The 27-year-old Emmerdale actress has previously revealed how horrible it was to film the scenes, spending hours soaking wet and uncomfortable in the small dark space. But Sammy hasn't been put off her soap role by the experience. She said: "I've been there about 11 years now. It's been very eventful, but they keep finding things for her to do, which is great. "I absolutely love it, it's a great, great place to work. I've got all my best friends there, and the cast and crew are awesome."
