Like Alaska itself – an area over 660,000 square miles in size – Alaska's Deadliest covers a lot of ground to reveal many of the top hunters on the planet

Like Alaska itself – an area over 660,000 square miles in size – this programme covers a lot of ground in its effort to give us many of the top hunters on the planet.

It features some of the most dangerous – and cutest – predators from a 900lb grizzly fighting a rival over a good fishing spot, to a furry red fox diving into deep snow to catch a vole.

The main theme, however, is that you should never mess with mother – as two huge male bears find to their cost…
