He is busy collecting six Infinity Stones of unimaginable power which means, of course, that the fate of the universe is at stake - but it doesn't feel that way.
With the Marvel movies coming so thick and fast these days, the knowledge that another one is just around the corner takes the edge off any suspense. Fortunately, there is time for wisecracks amid the mayhem, and some of the zingers traded by the likes of Robert Downey Jr's wisecracking Iron Man, Benedict Cumberbatch's sardonic Doctor Strange and Chris Hemsworth's hammer-heaving Thor are very good indeed.
Other characters from across the Marvel Comics Universe get a look in, too. There's somehow room for Chadwick Boseman's regal Black Panther and the Wakanda warriors as well as the whole Guardians of the Galaxy crew.
